Some quick SEO News from Sweden

Posted in SEO in general by Marcus Westberg on the May 7th, 2007

Getupdated.com signs Letter of Intent to Buy Florida based Search Engine Optimization Company eTrafficJams. Read more at GetUpdated´s official site.

Recently GetUpdated also opened up an office in London. It was not long since GetUpdated opened an office in Florida and already so much has happened on such a short period of time.

Another event that we (GetUpdated) held was the SEO World Championship where we recently announced the winners. Congratulations to all the winners :) It was also fun to see that everyone in the top 5 came from completly different parts of the globe. U.S.A, Sweden, India and Portugal were represented among the first.

Other then that I can say that Sweden in general is still like 2 years behind when it comes to SEO compared to the U.S. But more and more swedish SEO talents are popping up and we´re getting closer :)

Wayno´s Poker Blog

Posted in Friends by Marcus Westberg on the May 7th, 2007

One of my friends/co workers have recently started a poker blog. I guess there are a few out there but this one is actually unique. So what´s unique about it? Well it is in english but the news are mostly targeted to cover swedish poker news and events. Perfect if you can´t read swedish and still want to keep up with what´s going on in the Swedish poker world. Oh! I forgot to mention that there is also some coverage of South African news regarding gambling and such. I wish Wayne good luck with his new poker blog!

Another domain name value tool

Posted in Domains by Marcus Westberg on the May 7th, 2007

Every now and then you stumble upon some cool tools

This time it´s a Domain name value tool from DNscoop!
It combines some factors of your site/domain and then calculates the value of the whole domain as well as what you should charge for selling links. but wait! didn´t Matt Cutts write on his blog that selling links is not accepted anymore…. Hmmm…

So… The tool calculates domain age, pagerank, inbound links, Alexa traffic rank and indexed pages. After that it combines the score and you will get a (I guess) stupid $ value for your domain.
Check it out if you are have some free time to spare:
