Every now and then you stumble upon some cool tools
This time it´s a Domain name value tool from DNscoop!
It combines some factors of your site/domain and then calculates the value of the whole domain as well as what you should charge for selling links. but wait! didn´t Matt Cutts write on his blog that selling links is not accepted anymore…. Hmmm…
So… The tool calculates domain age, pagerank, inbound links, Alexa traffic rank and indexed pages. After that it combines the score and you will get a (I guess) stupid $ value for your domain.
Check it out if you are have some free time to spare:

Nice tool, just tried it, and gives me rseults similar to other domain appraisal tools around, so i guess it works well
=)
It is an interesting tool but it is not useful to evaluate a site. The best way is to visit places like SitePoint forum to see how much a site like yours is selling for.
I tried the tool but it did find my information… So it was a bust for me.
Thanks for giving these tools. I only know dnscoop but others are new to me. thanks for them
Wow – according to this tool one of my websites is worth over 37,000!
But the reality is a website or domain is really only worth what someone is willing to pay for it, still Id sell mine in a heartbeat if it was really worth that much to someone
Nice tool, but my site worth only $150
I would not put much stock in the dnscoop valuation. It estimated the value of StockMarket.com to be $7270 and it sold for millions. (No pun intended)
I agree, but I guess these are not real market values.
Looks like all domain extensions are not supported..
I entered a .co.in domain and I got an error message saying ‘Please enter a valid domain’
Maybe Youtube was valued with DNScoop, thats why Google paid so much
Its next to useless.
is there any other tools like this? it’s interesting.
They don’t think much of my domain, only worth $400.00 I do 3 times that in sales every day.
Thanks for info! dnScoop great tool…
